I offer a variety of digital and analog services at my Recording studio in downtown Cleveland. Since the invention of digital recording in the 1980s, the recording industry’s reaction has been pushing back against the digital revolution. Analog purists will say the only way to get that sound is a tape machine and no digital processing whatever, but a hybrid approach is usually the best for getting a great sound that sounds like magnetic tape. Is digital recording faster and cheaper? Yes, but does it sound any different? you be the judge. Many modern bands still record on tape, but its expensive and a tedious process to align the tape machine and make sure its all working properly. Our recording facilities have been offering different analog tape options since it opened. By far, the most excited people have been those who have never used tape before. Some of the biggest independent labels and artists have demanded tape only to go with the digital recordings after the mixes came back. We know how to deliver the sounds to astound, and make great records with or without tape. It comes down to what you can afford, what you have access to, and what your workflow fits into. Send me your mixes through we transfer or upload your files to dropbox to give us the pleasure of mixing your next EP. We can warm up your voice or reduce harsh vocals, transfer 2 track 1/4″ or prepare 2″ 24 track tape machine for digital transfer. We can pass your mixes through our analog gear and use state of the art plugins to give your mix a balanced and professional sound.
